Enterprise Data Recovery Center Weldon Spring, Missouri
- This project was designed to provide a disaster recovery center for the worldwide operations of Enterprise Company.
- The structural design for this 165,000 SF concrete frame building provided for continuous operations after a major earthquake in the St. Louis area.
- The exterior walls are detailed to resist the impact effects of air-borne objects created by a tornado.

- During Phase II, a custom tenant designed office building was added that works in conjunction with the data recovery center.
- This approximately 147,000 SF facility was designed for efficiency and competitive costs.
- The structural system integrates completely with the architectural system to achieve an economical and functional total building system.

- EDM provided structural engineering services for a new 800,000 SF, 15-floor office tower addition.
- The service level includes truck docks and a central plant.
- Included in this project is also a new, six-level parking structure with 1,100 parking spaces on 335,000 square feet.
- EDM also provided structural engineering for the enclosure of the cooling tower on the roof of the central plant building, as well as construction administration services.

- The heavy wood timber structure with brick masonry walls presented many challenges for our mechanical engineers. They used perimeter heat pumps to avoid competing with the timber structure as a ductwork system might
- The sprinkler system was utilized as a return piping system for the heat pumps. This innovative design feature reduced installation cost
- EDM as the prime design professional, as well as a development partner, led the rehabilitation of a historical, vacant glass fabrication facility to a modern office building
