HOSPITALITY

Unique Innovation

Hotels, motels, pubs, restaurants, bars, cafes and other hospitality venues require most spaces to be stable and structured, yet other spaces that offer clever, flexible configurations. EDM has this experience in a host of different styles - cozy, chic, traditional, vintage, modern, luxurious or minimalist - with clients and owners that represent major brands to small, boutique lodging.

Edison Condominiums | OYO Hotel

St. Louis, MO

This renovation reutilized a 1928 warehouse - built by JC Penney's but sold to Edison Brothers in the 1950s - into a mixed use of condominiums, hotel, garage, bar and restaurant amenities. The 13-floor building has the entrance, restaurants and bar at street level, followed by a 3-level garage, 4-levels for 200 hotel rooms, 4-levels for 56 condos, then the top floor has a conference center with banquet and meeting rooms, indoor pool, gym, and outdoor seating with grills for residents. EDM coordinated engineering requirements with the architect and contractors, as well as reviewed work during construction to verify conformance to the design-build criteria.
