Director of Business Development
About the Position
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Business Development to lead strategic growth initiatives across key markets. This role is critical to expanding EDM’s client base, increasing revenue, and positioning the firm for long-term success.
Key Responsibilities

Lead business development strategy targeting regional architects, government agencies, healthcare, industrial, and entertainment sectors.

Develop and execute multi-market annual business plans with defined fee goals.

Cultivate new client relationships and strengthen existing ones across design and construction firms.
-
Coordinate teaming strategies and project pursuit efforts.
-
Oversee RFQ/SOQ submissions and conference participation.
-
Collaborate with marketing to refine promotional materials and digital presence.

Drive lead generation and market intelligence efforts.
Qualifications
-
Proven track record in sales and revenue generation within the AEC industry.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Minimum 10 years of experience in business development or sales.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Technical Secretary
About the Position
This is a full-time, in office role working with the entire EDM staff, under the direction of the Vice President of Business Development. Creativity, organizational ability and computer skills are essential. It can be a fast-paced environment, so the ideal candidate is proactive, able to set priorities according to assignment deadlines, and works quickly yet accurately with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities

Responsible for the preparation, design and coordination of RFQ/RFP responses.

Create, organize and update marketing/business development materials.

Write and/or edit standard and technical text for consistency and accuracy.

Accountable for final quality check/proofreading for all responses and material.
-
Maintenance of website, including design and updating content.
-
Generate EDM news and information for social media posts and email blasts.

Design and layout of interview presentations using PowerPoint.

Ongoing organization of online marketing files and lists, and maintain various databases.

Conduct research and provide support to help sustain and elevate the firm's business development.

Assist Office Manager in her duties.

Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by firm leadership.
Qualifications

Exceptionally organized, creative, detail-oriented and a team player with a positive attitude.

Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field.

Experience with InDesign, Photoshop, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.

Possess strong verbal, written and graphic communication skills.

Senior Electrical Engineer
About the Team
​EDM’s Building Systems Group works alongside our Civil and Structural engineers, providing design on a variety of project types, including commercial, government, healthcare, educational and industrial facilities.
About the Role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for electrical systems design, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, facility assessment reports and feasibility studies. This role may also include project management responsibilities. You will be performing load calculations, photometric calculations, equipment selection, equipment specification, system design, field investigation, and construction administration.

Posses strong communication and presentation skills.

Have a minimum of ten years of experience in electrical design.

Have a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering.

Are a licensed PE.

Have demonstrated technical experience with the preparation of electrical construction drawings, specifications, and the review of electrical submittals review.

Have a detailed knowledge of the National Electrical Code.

Are proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.

Are proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.

Structural Engineer
​Graduate Structural Engineer to perform structural analysis and design of new and existing commercial buildings and parking structures using finite element software such as SAP 2000, ETABS, Risa 3D, ENERCALC, and hand calculations, to meet the various standards and codes such as ASCE -7, AISC 360 and ACI 318. Coordinate project progress with clients, architects, and construction teams. Respond to RFI’s and check shop drawings to meet the project requirements. Perform calculations and assemble project analysis reports. Perform structural inspections and monitor the construction of the projects. Assist with putting together drawings using CAD software like Revit and AutoCAD. Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related field, one year experience as a Structural Engineer, or related field, and Engineer in Training Certification required.
